death care publicist launches facebook page to connect with death care marketers, industry professionals

Newly launched social network page for death care professionals

[ November 11, 2008 ] Charles Town, West Virginia — Mayra Ruiz-McPherson, a marketing and publicity strategist also known as the Death Care Publicist, recently launched a new Death Care Publicist page on the popular social networking site Facebook. The page is meant to provide funeral directors, cemeterians, pre-need sales counselors and those who market death care services to share ideas, resources and support one another.

"The goal is to create an online location where folks who need marketing assistance or ideas in the pre-need arena can come together to network and help each other out," says Ruiz-McPherson. "I realize it may be slow going at first because the nature of the industry is slow to adapt to many of the latest web technologies," she adds. "But if you encourage folks often enough and reinforce the benefits of coming together as a community, they'll get it soon enough."
